Introducing the College Board Opportunity Scholarships
A Clearer Path to College for All Students
Applying to college is a complicated process, so we've created a program that guides you through it. This scholarship program is open to all students and it doesn't require an essay, application, or minimum GPA. Instead, it rewards your effort and initiative. Complete key steps along your path to college for a chance to earn scholarships.
The Scholarships
The more effort you put in, the more opportunities you have to earn a scholarship. Complete all six, and you’re eligible to earn $40,000. Scholarships will be awarded through monthly drawings to students who complete each action.

Concert Scholarship Application Revised 11-5-21
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant for the Concert Scholarship must meet or exceed the following requirements to be a qualified and eligible recipient of the Concert Scholarship Net Profits:
1. Be enrolled and actively participating in 4-H, FFA, or FCCLA at the time the application is submitted, AND
2. Be a high school senior and a graduate for the current year that resides in Kleberg or Kenedy Counties or attends a high school in Kleberg County, AND
3. Plan to attend an accredited college, university or vocational school during the first long semester following High School Graduation, AND
4. Be an exhibitor in the annual livestock show for a minimum of four (4) years, may include the applicant’s senior year, AND
5. Must complete a Concert Scholarship Fund Application form and submit to the show office by December 23rd, AND
6. Provide to the Show Office, before August 1st, evidence of enrollment in an Accredited College, University or Vocational School in the first long semester following High School Graduation.

Texas Farm Credit Scholarship
Student Ag Champs & Scholarships
Texas Farm Credit is honored to play a part in supporting our future leaders by offering the following programs.
Ag Champs
Each Texas Farm Credit branch location will select one local student who will be awarded a $1,000 academic grant and the title of Ag Champ. There will be 18 Ag Champs in all. In addition, each Ag Champ will also have a $1,000 contribution made in their honor to their FFA chapter or 4-H club.
Marsha Martin Scholarship
Texas Farm Credit will present $5,000 postsecondary scholarships to ten future ag leaders. Winners will be announced in May. The annual scholarship program is named in honor of Paris, Texas native Marsha Pyle Martin, a strong advocate for youths and agriculture who passed away in 2000 following a 30-year Farm Credit career.

Eligibility
To qualify, an applicant must:
- Be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2022 (Children of employees or directors are not eligible)
- Be a member of FFA or 4-H
- Reside in Texas Farm Credit's 100-county territory
- Submit a current high school transcript (official or unofficial)
- Submit a 2022 application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- Submit a resume
- Submit an essay (see application for essay topic)
- Completed applications must be received by January 15, 2022

The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers
The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers – one component of the Raising Texas Teachers initiative – is designed to support promising students to consider a future in the teaching profession. Scholars receive up to $8,000-$10,000 in annual funding for up to four years, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities, mentorship from sitting public school educators, and participation in a statewide aspiring teachers network facilitated by the Raise Your Hand Texas Foundation.
Approximately 100 new scholarships are awarded through 13 eligible universities and partner programs, with the cohort growing to include 500 scholars annually. The competitive selection process includes an application, pre-screening by university teams, and a daylong event consisting of a group activity, mock teaching lesson, and panel interview.
The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers is designed to support promising students pursuing a future in the teaching profession. The scholarship consists of $8,000-$10,000 in annual funding, as well as professional development opportunities and mentorship from sitting public school educators. The scholarship is open to students who are working toward receiving their teaching certification for the first time at selected universities.
The Charles Butt Scholarship is for students who demonstrate a strong commitment to a teaching career in a majority economically disadvantaged school or in a shortage subject area (in a school where more than 50% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch, or as a math, science, bilingual, or special education teacher) in the Texas public school system.
The Charles Butt Scholarship application will open on October 1st, 2021. Each university has its own application deadline, listed below. More information, eligible universities, and programs can be found below.
The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers is available to prospective teachers who are currently in, or plan to enter, an eligible teacher preparation program at a Raising Texas Teachers partner university. Aspiring Teachers can apply in the fall of any year between their senior year of high school and junior year of college. See below for the list of eligible programs at each university and the application deadline for each university.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be committed to teaching in a majority-economically disadvantaged school or in a shortage subject area (in a school where more than 50% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch, or as a math, science, bilingual, or special education teacher) in a Texas public school. Preference is given to Texas residents.
