Riviera Seahawks Band

Seahawk Band

The Seahawk Band is comprised of students from 7th through 12th grade that works hard daily to be the best they can be.

Through hard work and discipline, they strive for excellence in the band hall and on the marching field. We have a dedicated group of upperclassmen that work patiently through peer tutoring to assist younger band members.

Working together, the students form bonds and friendships as they practice long hours together. They have found that success comes through hard work and dedication.

Art

Art Is Awesome

Riviera ISD has an extensive Secondary Art Program.

The Art Program was established many years ago by the late Jesse Sanchez. Studies include a TEKS-based curriculum for 7th through 12th grade, along with an exclusive Art III-IV program specializing in studio studies.

All through the school year, the Art students are accredited with the décor of the hallways of Kaufer and De La Paz with class projects displayed throughout both campuses. Art Shows are displayed on special occasions for Veteran’s Day, and Christmas Festival and the school year finale is the Seahawk Art Show in May, which provides a display of works from all art students.

The Riviera Art program is an excellent opportunity for our Seahawks to express themselves using a variety of media and allows the students to find the artists that lives in all.
