Art

Riviera ISD has an extensive Secondary Art Program.
The Art Program was established many years ago by the late Jesse Sanchez. Studies include a TEKS-based curriculum for 7th through 12th grade, along with an exclusive Art III-IV program specializing in studio studies.
All through the school year, the Art students are accredited with the décor of the hallways of Kaufer and De La Paz with class projects displayed throughout both campuses. Art Shows are displayed on special occasions for Veteran’s Day, and Christmas Festival and the school year finale is the Seahawk Art Show in May, which provides a display of works from all art students.
The Riviera Art program is an excellent opportunity for our Seahawks to express themselves using a variety of media and allows the students to find the artists that lives in all.
