Join us on Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 PM in the Riviera School Cafeteria as we celebrate the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our Seahawk and Lady Seahawk Basketball teams from the 2025–2026 season.
This night is about honoring our student-athletes, recognizing dedication, and closing the chapter on a great season the right way — together.

Congratulations to Armando Ortega and Adelina Bell for advancing from the regional level to the state level for Science Fair! They will be competing at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF) this March.
Their project, “Effects of Water Source on In Vitro Ruminal Digestion of Bermudagrass,” showcases their hard work, scientific thinking, and dedication to research. We are so proud of their achievement and can’t wait to see them represent us at the state competition! 👏🌟
In Mrs. Pena’s Anatomy class, students explored the structure of the heart through a pig heart dissection. This hands-on lab gave them the opportunity to identify chambers, valves, and major blood vessels while connecting what we’ve learned in class to real-life anatomy.
We are so proud of their focus, curiosity, and professionalism in the lab! 🔬
Students were able to:
• Identify the nutritional benefits of vegetables in a balanced diet
• Explain how vitamins, minerals, and fiber support overall health
• Demonstrate safe food handling and knife skills
• Follow a multi-step recipe independently
• Practice teamwork and kitchen organization
• Build confidence in preparing a healthy, affordable meal
During the lab, students prepared vegetable-packed fried rice, intentionally incorporating a variety of colorful vegetables. This reinforced the importance of making vegetables a regular part of daily meals to support long-term health and wellness.
In Adulting class, the focus extended beyond nutrition. Students worked on developing independence and self-sufficiency in the kitchen — an essential life skill. Learning to cook empowers students to make healthy choices, manage a budget, and rely less on fast food or convenience meals.
From prepping ingredients to cleaning their stations, students took full ownership of the cooking process. Experiences like this help bridge classroom learning with real-life responsibility.
We are proud of our students for growing not only as cooks, but as confident, capable young adults!
