On Saturday, 9/30, XC traveled to Premont to compete at the Cowboy Invitational XC Meet. Everyone had great races and some individuals even earned medals to show for all their hard work. 7th graders Joseph Ochoa and Jake White placed 2nd and 5th respectively. 7th grade girls had Molly Johnson place 2nd and Bethany Salinas place 11th. In the 8th grade boys division, Isaac Gomez placed 4th and Edwin Lopez placed 8th. In the Varsity Girls division, Katélina Rendón placed 5th and Adelina Bell placed 7th. Varsity Boys earned an overall 4th place finish as a team, consisting of Roan Bell (7th), Kaleb DeLeon (11th), Brenden Solomon, Romeo Gutierrez, Leroy Salinas, Ralph Guevara and Kyle Mooney. Next up is the 32-2A District Meet in Premont. Middle School will compete on Saturday 10/7 and High School will compete on Monday, 10/9. If you see these hard working individuals make sure to wish them all Good Luck!!

On Saturday, September 23rd, the mighty running Seahawks participated in the Javelina Invitational XC meet in Kingsville. Our athletes did an amazing job representing Riviera ISD in the 1A-4A Division. Varsity Boys finished 5th as a team and had one medalist, Kaleb DeLeon, 17th. Varsity Girls came in 7th as a team with two girls medaling, Katélina Rendón 10th, Adelina Bell 20th. Middle School boys finished 3rd team overall with three medalists, Isaac Gomez 12th, Joshua Ochoa 15th, Jake White 17th. Kenzie Davis was our lone Middle School girl this meet and she ran a great race! Our next meet will be on September 30th in Premont.

JAVELINAS RISING Dr. Rosalind Alderman, Vice President of Enrollment, and Omar Pena, Associate Director of Recruitment, at Texas A&M University Kingsville were on campus today to recognize 3 students of Kaufer ECHS. Caitlin Medlock, Madison Arredondo, and Skyler Ramos were recognized as part of TAMUK's Operation Centennial celebration as 3 of the first 100 students to be applied, accepted, and admitted to Texas A&M Kingsville for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester. Each of the students received a welcome package including a letter of scholarship from the institution. Friends, family, and classmates were present for the ceremony. Congratulations Seahawks!
