Seahawk Band competed at the UIL Region 14 Concert and Sight Reading competition at Alice High School Thursday April 6, 2023. The band received Superior (Division 1) ratings from all 6 judges. We are very proud of how hard they worked and their dedication. Go Seahawk Band!

April is Autism Awareness Month. At the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), it's a time to reflect on progress and reaffirm on commitment to supporting research that responds to the needs of people on the autism spectrum, now and into the future. Let's show our commitment and support at Riviera Independant School District by wearing BLUE on April 14th.


Our Riviera Lady Seahawks Softball Team took the win yesterday afternoon (04/10/23) versus the Freer Lady Buckaroos by the score of 15-0. The Lady Seahawks opened up the bottom half of the 1st inning by scoring 3 runs, the Lady Buckaroos were able to hold the Lady Seahawks to no runs in the 2nd inning, but not for long after the Lady Seahawks got the bats going again for 12 runs in the bottom half of the 3rd inning. Three innings is all our Lady Seahawks needed to take the victory. Our Lady Seahawks move to 6-1 in district play. Join us tonight as the Lady Seahawks will be back in action versus the Ben Bolt Lady Badgers at 6:30pm for their ‘Parents Night’.



Seahawk Baseball Update:
The Riviera Seahawks vs. Freer Buckaroos baseball game, postponed until Saturday has been rescheduled for Monday, April 10th at 4:30 pm due to the blessed amount of rain received on Dr. Pat Hubert Field.


CONGRATULATIONS OUTSTANDING HISTORIANS

Jaylen A Fuentes have been recognized as outstanding 8th grade historians.


The baseball game scheduled for 5:30 pm against Freer has been postponed to Saturday 1 pm here at Dr. Pat Hubert Field.

Tied 6-6 in the top of the 7th inning, Ervay Ramos hit a go-ahead 3-run home run off the scoreboard to give the Seahawks a huge district win over the Agua Dulce Longhorns. The Seahawks move to 4-2 in the district.
Notables: 3-6 batters consisting of Jake Colston, Ervay Ramos, Mathew Mascorro, and Bo Gonzalez went a combined 12-16 with 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
Winning Pitcher: Senior Tommy Bueno secured his first district win since returning from injury.
The Seahawks turn their attention to the Freer Buckaroos for a game scheduled for Thursday, April 6th at Dr. Pat Hubert Field.
