Freshmen enrolled in Principles of Agriculture: Food and Natural Resources are working with the Agri-Life Extension service to teach Riviera ISD 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students about agriculture and plant functions. The Freshmen students meet with the Elementary students once per week to give a lesson over various plant functions and processes. Way to go, Seahawks!







Our 7th grade girls volleyball team and our De La Paz Middle School football team are both UNDEFEATED! Both teams are 5-0. Great job, Seahawks!!


Important information regarding attendance for the 2023-2024 school year.

On Saturday, October 14th, the Mighty Seahawk Band will compete at the UIL Region 14 Marching Contest at Phil Danaher Stadium in Calallen, 4001 Wildcat Dr. Corpus Christi, TX 78410 at 4:15 PM. A clear bags policy will be enforced at this stadium. We invite everyone to come and support the Seahawk Band.

De La Paz Middle School’s Homecoming Fall Dance will be Saturday, November 11, from 6-9pm. Tickets will be $5.00.

Join us today, October 11, 2023, at 7pm for the October FFA Meeting in the RISD Cafeteria. We will be hosting our annual Halloween Costume Contest, going over important KKJLS deadlines and eating tasty Halloween treats. See y’all there!

Today High School XC competed at their District meet in Premont. Everyone went out and did their best! Varsity Boys has two runners advancing to Regionals-Roan Bell placed 9th overall and Kaleb DeLeon placed 10th. The team placed 4th overall and consisted of Bell, DeLeon, Romeo Gutierrez, Leroy Salinas, Brenden Soloman, Ralph Guevara and Kyle Mooney. Varsity Girls has two advancing, also. Adelina Bell placed 5th and Katélina Rendón placed 7th. The girls team placed 5th overall and consisted of Bell, Rendón, Mica Gutierrez, Zoey Ochoa, and Casandra Arroyo. We are beyond proud of each of these athletes and their tremendous work ethic. Regionals will be on October 24th in Corpus Christi.

Congratulations to the Mighty Seahawk Band for winning first place in the 1A/2A division at the Calallen Bay Area Marching Contest on Saturday, October 7th. Congratulations to our color guard for also winning first place in their division.

Last week, we celebrated our custodians in appreciation for all that they do for us! Thank you to Mr. Salas' art class for the awesome signs that they created.
