Families learned how benchmark assessments measure student progress, reviewed individual results, and received tips to support learning at home.

Last week in Mrs. Zapata’s Interpersonal Studies, Adulting, and Lifetime Nutrition & Wellness classes, students took part in a Super Bowl–inspired lesson centered on independence and wellness.
By making salsa and guacamole from scratch, students worked on measuring, food safety, communication, and teamwork while applying nutrition knowledge in a real-life setting. This activity supported lesson goals related to decision-making, self-sufficiency, and healthy lifestyle habits.
