🔒 Riviera ISD will conduct a Secure Drill on Monday, December 8, 2025

During a SECURE, all students and staff remain inside the building while learning continues as normal. Today’s drill will help us practice staying calm, organized, and aware in situations that require limiting campus access.

Practice today = preparedness tomorrow.

Riviera Seahawk Country welcomed the mighty Yellowjackets to campus today. Riviera paid its respects to the Ricardo Way, recognizing its history and the impact it has had on both communities. Presentations on programming, extracurriculars and athletics highlighted the shared strengths that connect us.

Our students spoke with pride about the possibilities ahead and the value of continuing a tradition built on the very best of Riviera and Ricardo working together. Days like this show how much stronger we are when both communities move forward side by side.

HEBBRONVILLE TOURNAMENT — GAME 1 TOMORROW

The Lady Seahawks head into Hebbronville tomorrow for the opening round of tournament play. This group has been locked in all week, building momentum and sharpening their identity on both ends of the floor.

On Wednesday, December 10th, the Education Service Center 2 and Riviera ISD’s Support Services are hosting a Parent and Family Engagement Meetup at the Margery Malin Library from 10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you, community friends, and district staff from RISD and our neighboring districts! Who is invited? All parents, caregivers, district members, and community members are welcome to join us. Why attend?
You’ll gain fresh perspectives and practical tools to support student success.

Riviera ISD has partnered with the Coastal Bend Food Bank to help feed families in the Coastal Bend. Help your child’s campus win an end-of-year popcorn and pickle party. The campus with the most canned food donations takes the prize. The last day to donate is Dec. 10th.

Mark your calendars for the long-awaited Nanny Elementary Christmas program featuring all of our outstanding students at Nanny Elementary! The program will be held at 6:00 pm in the Kaufer ECHS gym on December 10th. Parents will need to drop off their child at Nanny Elementary by 5:30 pm and wait in the gym for the performance. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

We cordially invite everyone to attend the Band Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the High School gym at 7:00 pm. We will have an evening of Christmas music provided by the first performance of the De La Paz Middle School Beginner Band and the Award-Winning Mighty Seahawk Band. This festive concert will begin after the RISD Open House. Attendance is free and open to the public.
